The Chubbocks
| Being a local family who
were born and brought up locally it is natural that the Chubbock family would be very much
part of the community in which they live and work. Ivan himself has been on the
Board of School Governors for many years and a Parish Councillor. Paul has always maintained that they are in the business of Motor Engineering for the pleasure of working with motor vehicles, not for the benefit of bureaucracy. The family are heavily involved in Motor-cycling, everything from the classic military to modern Goldwing, and will always choose the two wheels in preference to four if possible. Ivan is a member of Rotary International Rotorcyclists and they take part in events which can be in many countries. Jean has long had a passion for the water and channels her swimming activities into charity support whenever possible.
Jean wondering why Dereham Swimming pool suddenly got so choppy! Paul has always been interested and heavily involved in the motor sport of Hill Rallying, which is not a sport for the faint-hearted! Lately Ivan has been developing his long interest in classic farm machinery by taking part in ploughing competitions, and has become an enthusiastic member of the Society of Ploughmen.

This annual show attracted thousands of visitors from all over the country for a good day out, enjoying many of the things that the family themselves like, such as Classic Cars, Farm machinery, Motor-cycles, Aeroplanes and Country music. The entire family were involved in this major fund-raising event for charity and worked tirelessly to make the event work each year. Over £70 000 was raised for Local, National and International charities supported by Rotary and enabled many local organisations to raise thousands of pounds for themselves.
